Henry VI

First Workshop, New York 2012

Shakespeare, before he was 'Shakespeare', was an incredible commoner. His breakout plays — Henry VI parts 1, 2 and 3 are full of pounding speeches, class revolutions, uncontrolled passions and country-bumpkin metaphors. A series of workshops examined a new adaptation focusing on the desire and danger of revolution in a world filled with perpetual war.
